Sale of Dee4 Acacia and Dee4 Birch
Dee4 sold two vessels, Dee4 Birch and Dee4 Acacia, on 26th July and 6th August 2021
respectively, to Ridgebury Tankers and have returned the net proceeds to limited partners.
Following the distribution, Dee4 has returned approximately one third of the capital drawn
in Dee4 Capital Fund I within approximately two years since inception.
Delivery of Dee4 Larch (formerly "Nord Valiant")
Dee4 took delivery of Nord Valiant (renamed Dee4 Larch) on 1st September 2021,
immediately following her first five-year special survey for which Dee4 requested
additional works in dry dock, including application of a high-quality anti-fouling paint. Debt
for the purchase was provided by Mizuho Marubeni Leasing Corporation (“MML”),
continuing the strong institutional relationship between Dee4 and MML.
As a result of the sales as above and the delivery of this vessel, Dee4 Capital Fund I retains
a portfolio of five medium range product tankers.
Delivery of ClearOcean Ginkgo
A subsidiary of E4C Shipping Pte Ltd (“E4C”) took delivery of the ClearOcean Ginkgo from
Hyundai Mipo Dockyard on 24th August and she went straight onto a long-term charter
with Clearlake Shipping (“Clearlake”). The next newbuilding for E4C (ClearOcean Hickory)
is scheduled to be delivered at the end of September 2021 and will also be chartered to
Clearlake.
E4C is delighted to partner with Danish Ship Finance for the debt on these vessels.
Further newbuilding orders from Hyundai Mipo Dockyard
In addition to the E4C vessels, in conjunction with clients of Helikon Shipping Enterprises,
entities prefixed with the name “H4” have ordered a further four newbuilding MR tankers
from Hyundai Mipo Dockyard. These deliver between January and September 2022, and
one is chartered to Stena A/S.
